What people come back for

The menu changes with the seasons and the family’s mood, classics, vegan favorites, signature broths, and a rotating special. These three are always the first to sell out.

Sancocho Boricua

Hearty meat stew with root vegetables and yuca, the one abuela would order.

House favorite

Asopao de Pollo

Puerto Rico’s beloved chicken & rice soup, thick, savory, comforting.

The classic

Crema de Malanga

Creamy taro root soup with a smooth, comforting flavor.

Inside the shop: painted Puerto Rico mural, yellow counters, umbrellas on the ceiling

The Spot

Our little shop on Glenn Ave is part restaurant, part cultural experience. A painted Puerto Rico mural wraps the wall. Colorful umbrellas hang from the ceiling. The yellow counters and teal trim fill the room with color. You’ll smell the soups before you open the door, and by the time you’re inside, you’ll feel like you belong there.

Community & Heart

Serving Our Community with Love

Acosta’s was built on more than good food. Edwin started this place from the ground up, out of his own pocket, with faith, family, and a desire to give back. We go out of our way to support our neighbors whenever we can, because feeding people means more than the bowl. That’s what ‘hecho con amor’ means to us.
