Acosta's storefront: brick building with a thatched awning and teal door

In Edwin’s words

The Story Behind Acosta’s

My name is Edwin Acosta, and this place carries our family name for a reason. I built Acosta’s from day one, out of my own pocket, because I believe the food we grew up with deserves a home in Northeast Ohio.

We opened our doors in the summer of 2026 on Glenn Ave in Willoughby: a little brick shop with a thatched awning overhead, filled with the warmth, color, and hospitality of Puerto Rico. Walk in and you’ll know immediately, this isn’t just another restaurant. It’s a piece of the island, right here in Ohio.

Hecho con amor, “made with love”, isn’t just on our emblem. It’s the recipe for everything we do. Our faith is part of who we are, and it shows in how we serve. We help feed and support people in our community whenever we can. We treat every customer like family. That’s who the Acostas are.

Community & Heart

Serving Our Community with Love

Acosta’s was built on more than good food. Edwin started this place from the ground up, out of his own pocket, with faith, family, and a desire to give back. We go out of our way to support our neighbors whenever we can, because feeding people means more than the bowl. That’s what ‘hecho con amor’ means to us.

Come taste the story for yourself.
